Youth Dance Workshops in collaboration with Paddington Arts!
The World Reimagined has an exciting opportunity for children who attend schools, youth clubs
or community organisations in Westminster. We will be running an Urban dance weekend
workshop which will be free of charge. It will be held at Paddington Arts on September 13th,
14th and 15th and hosted by renowned choreographer Hudson Jean-Pierre of Dancemania HQ,
who has performed with some of the biggest artists in the world. We aim to tell the story of
Urban dance and genre styles will include Ska, Jazz and Calypso. Refreshments will be
provided.
Attendees will then go on to perform at The World Reimagined’s Triangle of Unity Festival of
Arts and Culture on October 12th and 13th. The festival will be free of charge and held at
Strand Aldwych.
The theme of the festival is ‘Joy as Resistance.’ It will be a family day out which features a food
village, live music and panel discussions to create a moment to learn, reflect and celebrate a
history that connects us all. There will be guest appearances from well known people in music,
art and activism.
This opportunity is for children aged from Year 3 up to Year 8.
If one of your attendees would like to take part, your school, youth club/community organisation
or their parents can email INSPIRE@theworldreimagined.org with the heading: Dance
Workshop; then provide the pupil’s name, age and youth club or community organisation they
attend.
We will then contact your club/community organisation or the parent with further details.
Let’s collaborate!
