Spoken Word Workshops with Chris Freddie OBE!
The World Reimagined has an exciting opportunity for children who attend schools, youth clubs or community organisations in Westminster. We will be running a poetry weekend workshop which will be free of charge. It will be held at Paddington Arts on September 13th, 14th and 15th and hosted by renowned poet Chris Preddie OBE who has been celebrated for his work with young people. We aim to create a poem that speaks of Climate Change. Refreshments will be provided.
Attendees will then go on to perform the poem as part of the Spoken Word Hour at The World Reimaginedās Triangle of Unity Festival of Arts and Culture on October 12th and 13th. The festival will be free of charge and held at Strand Aldwych.
The theme of the festival is āJoy as Resistance.ā It will be a family day out which features a food village, live music and panel discussions to create a moment to learn, reflect and celebrate a history that connects us all. There will be guest appearances from well known people in music, art and activism. The Spoken Word Hour will be hosted by 7 times Grammy nominated Natalie āThe Floacistā Stewart of the group Floetry.
This opportunity is for children aged from Year 3 up to Year 8.
If one of your attendees would like to take part, your school, youth club/community organisation or their parents can email INSPIRE@theworldreimagined.org with the heading: Poetry Workshop; then provide the pupilās name, age and youth club or community organisation they attend.
